How to live from ritual rather than routine.
“Living from ritual over routine.”
I want a magical life. I want to move from a grounded and embodied place. I want intention to drip from every moment, movement and word I speak. Some of this requires shifting the way I move in the world, and some of this required shifting the way I perceive the world— slowing down to account for the stories I tell myself about how and why I do things. Do I have to do this? or, do I get to do this?
Part of living a life of ritual over routine is also learning to pause and take stock. To ask not just what you’re doing, but why. It’s the difference between moving through your life on autopilot and moving through it like it’s a sacred story—because it is. When we choose ritual, we’re choosing presence. We’re choosing to examine our lives and engage with it consciously. And choosing to allow things— habits, behaviors and beliefs— to die, instead of dragging them with us out of habit or fear.
Wishing you sweetness on your transition from routine to ritual,
