This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect through tarenmaroun.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. "I," "me," and "my" refer to Taren Maroun. "You" refers to anyone who visits the site or joins the email list.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you sign up for a free guide or email series, join the email list, purchase a course, or contact me, you may provide your name, email address, and — for purchases — billing and payment details

Payment information. Payments are processed through Squarespace Commerce or stripe. I do not see or store your full card number; that information goes directly to the payment processor, which handles it under its own security standards and privacy policy.

Information collected automatically. This site is hosted on Squarespace. Like most websites, it and its service providers may automatically collect standard technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring links — through cookies and similar technologies. Squarespace uses this to keep the site running, secure, and functioning properly.

How I use your information

I use the information I collect to:

  • send you the free guides, email series, and updates you signed up for;

  • deliver and support the courses and products you purchase;

  • respond to your messages and questions;

  • process payments and keep records of purchases;

  • understand how the site is used so I can improve it; and

  • send occasional emails about my work, writing, and offerings (you can unsubscribe anytime).

I do not sell your personal information.

Email and the tools I use

My email list and email courses are managed through squarespace. When you subscribe, your name and email are stored there so I can send you what you signed up for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

I rely on Squarespace to run this website and business. They only access your information to perform services for me and are expected to protect it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to function properly, remember your preferences, and understand site usage. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • unsubscribe from emails anytime using the link in any email;

  • ask what personal information I hold about you, and request a copy;

  • request corrections to your information; and

  • request deletion of your information, subject to records I'm legally required to keep (such as purchase records).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Children

This site and my offerings are intended for adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided me information, contact me and I'll delete it.

Data retention and security

I keep your information for as long as needed to provide what you signed up for and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymize it. I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll post the revised version here with a new effective date.
